POLITICS
Lyle G. Beefelt, a resident of Prince William County for more than
twenty-nine years and a 1978 graduate of Stonewall
Jackson High School, was elected to represent the Brentsville District on the School Board
in November of 1995. He
and his wife Lisa live in Independent Hill with their four children.
He graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a B.A. in economics, where
he also completed significant graduate studies there. Mr. Beefelt is a certified cash
manager and has been employed as a financial analyst with the Prince William Service
Authority for more than eleven years. He has broad experience in financial management.
He has held leadership in the local Republican Party and is active in his church and other
community organizations.
In 1998 Mr. Beefelt was the school division's delegate to the Virginia School Board
Association (VSBA), serving as North East Region Secretary. Also in 1998, his fellow
School Board members elected him vice chairman of the board and a member of the Policy
Committee.
